Gents Division opened its doors in 2008 to offer a salon for male customers of any age, where each individual can expect quality service and a high standard of cutting and styling, as well as the traditional wet cut throat shave.
In the past, men looking for a better haircut and service often used unisex salons, they still do. But now they don't have to. GENTS DIVISION is a salon designed for MEN. The clientele at GENTS DIVISION is a happy mix of young to old. From men who like 'regular guy' things, football, pubs and cars but also to those who take pride in their appearance, from baby's first cut to professional business men.

The Team THE TEAM
At Gents Division it is our intention to provide customers with up-to-the-minute styling, as well as traditional barbering. We take pride in our combined knowledge and therefore attend hairdressing workshops/advanced education as a team to ensure that we all keep as up-to-date as each other.
As a team we also pride ourselves in providing a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Come along and see for yourself. We also feel that it is important that children are catered for to the highest standards, we offer games consoles, TV, sweets & drinks, making your visit as pleasurable as possible.
Although we are aware that apprentices are not experienced to the levels that advanced hairdressing workshops provide, it is our aim at Gents Division to ensure training is provided to the highest standards and take apprentices on courses with stylists. We expect that by taking them on such workshops not only inspires and encourages, but also educates at the more creative level for their future commitment to men’s hairdressing here at Gents Division. All staff most recently visited the celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford’s salon in Southend-on-Sea to complete an advanced cutting and styling course.
The team has also completed a Traditional Wet/Cut Throat training course with Mr Ian Harold, a highly respected men’s hairdresser/barber and a member of the American Crew artistic team.

Billie-Jo Davis owner/stylist
Billie-Jo is now the proud owner of Gents Division. Having started at the salon as a stylist and working her way up to Manager, she accepted an agreement of owning the salon herself. Billie-Jo began hairdressing in 2003 and completed her NVQ qualifications in ladies hairdressing in year 2005. She then followed in her fathers footsteps and directed her career into barbering. She is now qualified to advanced standards in both Barbering and Hairdressing. Billie-Jo brings her young creative flair to Gents Division.
Francine Robinson stylist
Francine has worked continuously in the men’s hairdressing section for 20+ years. Her career began in the 80’s where she trained and worked at one of the well known barbers in Sheffield City Centre. She has worked alongside some of Sheffield’s finest barbers/men’s hairdressers and can adapt her skills appropriately. Very humble Francine will not tell you herself, but she has cut celebrity hair during her career, in both Sheffield and Camden London. Before having family she also owned her own salon, but decided to sell due to family commitments.
Danielle Wells apprentice/salon assistant
Danielle has worked in the salon environment full-time since leaving school. She has excellent customer care skills and prides herself in maintaining the salons standards of cleanliness at all times. Originally Danielle started in ladies hairdressing. She joined Gents Division as a salon assistant but almost immediately showed interest in progressing, so she is now in the process of completing her NVQ in Barbering and looks forward to a career of cutting men’s hair in the not too distant future.
